When
our in house programming team were learning Java we realised that we needed
help with the more advanced issues, such as RMI. Within two weeks Chris had
taught us all we needed about distributed Java, and helped us to write our
first RMI program. With a great deal of practical experience behind him,
we expect to be seeking his help again in the future.

We were installing a complex multi-box distributed custom
java based security system for our 3G mobile telecoms network. This was far
from shrink-wrapped software and we had done all that was humanly possible
ourselves and now needed to hire Chris for 2 weeks to help install, configure,
test and document the installation. At the end of that time many problems
had been solved and other teams that were dependent on the system could begin
making successful calls to it. We would hire Chris again in future. The working
environment was productive and relaxed and the team often enjoyed lunch at the Sydney fish market (big pic).
